Hide My Message app good for
Some messages you just want to be kept as a secret and I have been looking for something like this for some time. This one meets all my requirements and looks really nice and pro. 5/5 stars. Supports iPad aswell!
This is a perfect app for someone who is concerned about security or privacy over the Internet.
Some bad moments
Je souhaite être remboursé Votre application cest nimporte quoi nimporte quoi avec un joli design ! Pfff
"I wish to be reimbursed"
A phone number appears in each message, which I find odd. Then I was watching Dateline and got the shock of my day. The seal on this is the same design as The Secret cults seal.
Are the two associated? I surely dont want to send people message that inadvertently promote The Secret, so I deleted this app.
Good idea otherwise.
Although the app seems to work as advertised, there are few caveats to doubt its usefullness:
- Unknown encryption algorythm. For all I know, there may not be any encryption of any kind. The URL sent to you may simply serve as your user ID for the server, which it turn shows you the message upon correct password entry: no encryprion envolved.
- All decryption must happen on the company web site or the app itself. The web site is definitely amateur and unencrypted and the app, well, who knows?
- Support or specifications are absent entirely. All links lead to the URL for decryption on their site. Whether you click on "support" or main web link - you will lend on the unencrypted page used for decryption of messages. No contact information, company or developer description, or any means to contact the developer exist.
Given the above, this app should be under the category of "Entertainment" and not classified as a full-fledged utility to be taken with any seriousness.
Money wasted.
I cant figure how to close it. When I receive a message, it opens the last one I sent.
Support link doesnt work either.
Looks promising, but doesnt work as promised.
